Case Study: Personal

PMPA has been retained by corporate executives, ex-government officials and authors to advise them on their public relations profile. When their activities take place in the "public arena," media coverage and inquiry need to be carefully managed and calibrated to generate positive coverage as well as ensure that negative stories do not take on a "life of their own." Therefore, it is critical that individuals engage their own "press secretaries" to be a buffer when dealing with controversial news in a swirling media frenzy. At other times, individuals may simply want to promote a book or to generate targeted media coverage to position a new venture. We pride ourselves on knowing the important difference between "publicist" and "PR counsel," the latter role being deployed when the public coverage is not as desirable and rarely positive.
